This designation is offered by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. The candidate must:
- have at least five years experience in farm or ranch management
- have a four-year college degree or equivalent
- be a member of the ASFMRA
- submit an acceptable farm management plan to the ASFMRA
- complete the required coursework
- pass the final AFM examination.
