This designation is offered by the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute. The candidate must have education and/or work experience. This can be fulfilled in one of the following three ways:
- holding a bachelor’s degree
- having four years of work experience, or
- having a combination of education and work experience that totals four years.
The candidate must also sign a code of ethics. Then, the candidate must complete three levels of coursework and pass a written examination after completing each level.
